The Lib Dem group on Warwickshire County Council are putting forwards a motion next Tuesday (17th Dec) to oppose these plans and call upon the government to halt proposals until a proper pilot scheme has been assessed.

Currently, Warwickshire probation services are performing at an excellent level and won the prestigious award The British Quality Foundation Gold Medal for Excellence in Oct 2011. Lib Dems are concerned that an unnecessary break up, sell off and restructure of these services has a number of issues that could put local people at risk and hamper the rehabilitation of offenders.
