Elizabeth Adams, Lib Dem Parliamentary Candidate for Stratford-on-Avon and Richard Cheney, Lib Dem Group Leader on Stratford District Council & Councillor for Shipston Ward attended the NFU Warwickshire AGM at the NFU in Stratford to talk about policy for farming and agriculture.
Elizabeth said, "It was a great chance to listen to farmers and those in the agricultural industry and look at how we can support them. Farming is vital not just to the economy but to our livelihood and food supply. I'm pleased Lib Dems are working hard in Europe to monitor and reform CAP and other subsidies. At home we are also pushing for greater regulation of unfair treatment to farmers by supermarket suppliers, pushing for farmer led control of bovine TB and improving city links with agriculture and farming in education and work experience/careers."
