Elizabeth raised concerns over high business rates. She said "Stratford-on-Avon is a world famous location, yet we have bits of the town centre that are empty and looking almost derelict. One of the issues that is affecting centres and high streets across the country are high business rates. It's especially an issue for small and medium businesses and one we desperately need to get a handle on if we are to keep any uniqueness and variety of business to our shopping locations around Britain."
